Upload a PDF of your existing unit planner, or paste the text below. The tool reads the labels already in your document, whatever they are called (central idea, lines of inquiry, statement of inquiry, key and related concepts, global context, understandings, transfer goals, essential questions), and maps them into a new unit. Anything it can't find shows as - not found - in the preview, so you can see the gaps and finish them in the planner.

Parse & preview is a rule-based parser: it runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Keep each label on its own line for the best match. The grade band is guessed from the text; correct it above if the guess is wrong.

Importing a planner

Three grade bands

The band sets which planner your unit opens in and which labels the parser looks for. K to Grade 5 goes straight to the primary planner. For Grades 6 to 10 and Grades 11 to 12, pick the target subject once the band is chosen.

For a clean import

Upload a digitally-exported PDF (from ManageBac, Toddle, Word or Google Docs), its text is read automatically. Scanned/photographed PDFs have no text layer and can't be read; paste those instead. Keep each label on its own line (for example "Statement of inquiry:" or "Central idea:") for the best match.

Spotting gaps

After upload or paste, every field the parser can't find shows as - not found - in the preview, your checklist of missing planning elements to complete.

Then what?

Preview what was found, then create the unit and open it straight in its planner. Reference-only sections, such as content or skills lists, appear in the preview so nothing is silently dropped, and are finished by hand in the planner.
